Van Waveren field trials in Germany

However busy we are during our harvest period - and we are very busy! - we need to be assessing new varieties that are coming through the system with the various seed houses.

This year, we made a particular effort to make the journey to Van Waveren in Germany. It was a flying visit of about thirty-six hours, but you can learn a lot in that time and the trials were very well organised and well laid out.

It was good to spend time with some UK colleagues and make some new connections over a beer or two, and overall the trip was a great success. As a result, we will be trialling on a commercial basis some of the varieties that Van Waveren displayed in their trials.
