The forecast rain arrived!

History was made this week! The previous Sunday's BBC Countryfile weather forecast proved to be accurate so we had a flurry of activity on Monday and Tuesday, 210 acres drilled, then sat back for the rest of the week and enjoyed the steady rain.

It was most welcome. All crops needed some after a very dry couple of months.

Drilling will start again tomorrow with just 700 acres left to put in the ground. I am expecting ideal conditions, moisture, warm souls and sunshine.

The Prelado continues to flower and the Anubis has now started flowering with the Style hard in its heels.

We are in the process of "lining up all the ducks" in terms of the harvest operation. I believe it will be an early start so this area of the business needs constant attention now.
