Drilling continued this week with Amalfi going in around Kirton, Frampton and Wigtoft. Conditions were gradually improving but then more rain on Friday put an end to our progress. It is vital that the drivers get the best training possible with the new viners to maximise the machines output, so we spend a few days at Ploeger who are based at Roosendaal in Holland. Our new machine is completed so it was off round the factory to see how they are all put together. Then into the classroom for a day, with the final day getting familiarised with the machine in the yard. Paul and Jay learnt a lot and Mark Clayton always seems to pick up more tricks about how to alter things. We expect it to be delivered to the UK in the next two weeks when Wold Enginering will put the finishing touches to it.Early peas have been a bit slow this week due to cooler conditions. Anticipated start date June ....................
