Gareth & Hannah; unwelcome stormy visitors

Due to the arrival of the not so friendly Storm Gareth this week we have been unable to get on with our sowing programme. Those in the ground have weathered the storms well and the first fields are becoming green over.

With temperatures today in excess of 15C that will move them along nicely. Planning ahead is a nightmare because just as you think let's have a go, another storm comes through. Tomorrow we expect the delights of Storm Hannah. Hopefully she will be kinder than Gareth.

I spent a well informed day at PGRO this week. In these challenging times it is reassuring that we have a modern, forward thinking research establishment that has many projects going on that if just 50% of them provide answers, that will be a huge step forward. As with all research it often poses more questions.

Here's hoping that we can get on with the Savannah and Idalgo next week. 1250 acres in, so I have to be happy with that.
