Tranquil surroundings for a catch up to discuss promotional activities for the year ahead. Young Pea Chef, Great British Pea Week and ongoing media. Rachel Green also kindly provided a healthy North African brunch which obviously had peas in!Lots of drilling going on around Fosdyke and in Holbeach Marsh. In places it is now proving challenging with the lack of rainfall. However, having completed the Petit Pois early evening today we were treated to a 4mm shower. Not enough but we will take it!The earlies continue to thrive. A little thrip and weevil damage in places but nothing to be concerned about. It will soon be time to make a bet on start harvest date. Also PGRO turned out to do some variety trials which will help decide what varieties we grow in the future. We've had a good run. All the Petit Pois are drilled and in total 54% of our peas are in the ground.
