Representing peas at the Lady Mayor’s Show
We were very honoured to be invited to the Lady Mayor’s Show in London this year, marking the first time that the pea industry has been represented. It was a fantastic day and we were immensely proud to be part of it.
We had a viner in the procession, which, as you can imagine, is quite a sight on the streets of London. It was beautifully decorated, and we had a team of people walking alongside, handing out leaflets and engaging with the public.
The atmosphere was electric, and it was a wonderful opportunity to raise the profile of the British pea industry to a massive audience, both on the streets and on TV.
The theme for the show was 'The Power of Food,' and we felt that peas were a perfect fit for that. They're nutritious, sustainable, and a staple of the British diet. We had a lot of interest from people wanting to know more about where their peas come from and how they're grown.

It was a long day, starting very early in the morning and finishing late in the afternoon, but it was worth every minute. A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make it happen, particularly the team at Hatch Communications, and the growers who provided the viner and their time. It's an experience we'll never forget.
