We seem to have moved from Plan A to Plan G as the delightful British weather continues to challenge us! After a hectic and busy weekend things came to an abrupt halt on Tuesday morning and we have been stationary since. It has to be said that after the recent cold snaps the soil was working down relatively easily, and peas were going into ideal conditions. However the peas in the ground have kept growing with reasonable soil temperatures. Peas were chitting two days after sowing on our light land. The early Anubis and Boston are beginning to show nicely and I think the Style will soon follow. With 975 acres in the ground we are approaching the 20% mark. That's behind where we would normally expect to be at this time of year, but given the limited windows of opportunity for drilling, not bad.
