Incredible weather!

What an incredible 14 days of weather! We have been spoilt.

After the dry autumn, when ploughing conditions were the best they had been for years, followed by a dry winter, seedbeds have proved easy to achieve and with the above average temperatures progress has been good. To say the least.

With the Prelado, Anubis, Boston, Style and Tomahawk all in the ground on our light land we are taking the weekend to catch our breath.The first drilled Prelado is emerging a whole 3 weeks in front of last year. Soil temperatures above average as well as ambient temperatures have seen phenomenal growth. A cooler few days are forecast so I am expecting things to steady down a bit.

For the statisticians we are just over 1000 acres drilled. Last time this happened we then had a wet April when nothing was put in the ground. Just saying!
