What a change in the weather. Scorching temperatures will move the peas on that have been drilled, but looking forward there is concern as to how dry it is getting.
Another “careful” week drilling. The Geneva was finished off near Sleaford and then a block of Charlie was put in around East Heckington.
All of it was challenging and the depth of sowing is increasing daily.
The early Prelado is at enclosed bud with the Anubis hard on its heel. There is every possibility we could see some flower by the end of the month which would mean an early start to harvest.
Before then a little rain would be more than useful.
3000 acres in the ground. Still a few to go!
